Cauliflower Wings.
This is the kind of dish you would bring to a gathering and people would be asking "oh god what did this hippy bring" and if there willing enough to give it a try and set aside their bias, they will surely be jumping on getting this recipe. Let us dive in.
The Ingredients
1/2 a head of cauliflower
For the sauce
1 TSP of garlic powder OR 3 fresh cloves of garlic
2 TBSP of hot sauce (I prefer Franks red hot)
1 TBSP of worcestershire sauce
1 TSP of paprika
1 TBSP of extra virgin olive oil
1 flax egg (1tbsp ground flax, 3 TBSP water)
1/2 CUP of almond flour
1 TBSP of apple cider vinegar
1 TSP of honey
1 TSP of nutritional yeast
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Step 2: Line a pan with parchment paper.
Step 3: Chop up the cauliflower into wing bite-sized pieces.
Step 4: Combine all sauce ingredients into a medium-sized bowl. If the mixture is to thick add an additional TBSP of apple cider vinegar.
Step 5: Dip and coat the cauliflower in the sauce and apply it to the baking sheet.
Step 6: Cook for a total of 40mins. After 20 minutes, turn them. Cook for another 20 minutes.
Final Step: When the wings are crisp and complete add a generous dose of hot sauce and an additional TSP of nutritional yeast sprinkled on top of the finished product.
