Apple Cider Vinegar.
A healthier life begins with small incremental changes that are cumulative and reoccurring. Implementing apple cider vinegar can be a great addition.
So what is Apple Cider Vinegar?
Apple cider vinegar is made in a two-step process that includes distilled, fermented apples. During the fermentation process, the apples turn into a form of alcohol called acetic acid which gives its strands, strong smell and taste. Using raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar supplies enzymes, protein and good bacteria.
How to consume
One part apple cider vinegar, 2 parts water (1 TBSP ACV, 2 TBSP WATER). This makes it easier on the stomach in addition to reducing the possibility of feeling nauseous after consumption. It can be taken before or after meals. I encourage on an empty stomach before meals.
Will it help me lose fat?
Acetic acid and other components are responsible for the benefits of apple cider vinegar. There are a lot of health claims of using apple cider vinegar for weight loss, these claims are commonly misinterpreted. It is vastly more complex than that, I will break it down.
The link of using apple cider vinegar for therapeutic application for type 2 diabetes and patients with obesity has been studied a fair amount and shown positive outcomes. Although the results are modest, improvements are a commonly noted theme.
This is what Apple Cider Vinegar can do for you…
Stimulates digestive enzymes, bile, stomach acid and salivary glands.
Has a satiating effect- appetite regulation.
Improves glucose and lipid homeostasis in diabetes.
Promote blood sugar regulation- lower blood sugar and insulin levels.
Prebiotic which help to feed the good bacteria in your gut.
Having a balanced gut microbiome, hormones, and blood sugar are just some of the pieces of the puzzle to having well-functioning bodies. On a larger scale in conjunction with proper food choices, balanced hormones, adequate nutrients and positive lifestyle habits. These key drivers can assist with weight management and fat loss.
